*Precautions and Reminders* In any electrical works, safety precautions come first. That’s why we also need to discuss some safety precautions in order to achieve a safer and better result of works. So, what are the reminders:

Safety Precautions 1. Always wear personal protective equipment (PPE) 2. Always have presence of mind while working. 3. Do not connect directly to the source current. 4. Make sure that the two opposite lines not be contact With each other. 5. Used appropriate tools in joining two wires. 6. Test the circuit before connecting it to the source current

Steps in wiring 3-way switch 1. Prepare the diagram of the 3-way switch connection in two different location. 2. Connect the ground wire to the one terminal of the receptacle. 3. Connect the live wire to the common terminal of the 1st3-way switch. 4. Connect the n0.1 terminal of the 1st3-way switch to the #1 terminal of the 2nd3-way switch. 5. Connect the no.3 terminal of the 1st3-way switch to the #3 terminal of the 2nd3-way switch. 6. Connect the common terminal of the 2nd3-way switch to the one terminal of the receptacle. 7. Test the connection using multi-tester. 8. Energized.

A 3-way switch is one that allows you to control a ceiling light (or other electrical fixture) from two separate locations. The black "hot" wire enters the switch on the left.
