Prohibited inside QF Site Vehicles do not exceed 40 km/h in side QF Site. Fail to wear seat belts . Carrying personnel in load area of vehicle. Driving in a manner liable to endanger others, personnel, or QF property. Carrying prohibited items . Driving vehicle without proper access card and valid QF sticker. Driving with influence of any kind of drugs or alcohol. Using mobiles and doing horseplay while driving. Note: Vehicle inspection checklist (SF/CH 21) must be used on everyday morning while starting the vehicle and should be handover to concern person by beginning of every month.

Do’s and Don’ts * WEAR YOUR SEATBELT: It is QF Policy that every passenger MUST wear a seatbelt while riding in a company bus – this includes buses hired for the task. * STAY SEATED UNTIL THE BUS STOPS: Any passenger who stands up while the bus is still moving is a danger to every other passenger. If the bus stops unexpectedly you will become a missile.

Workplace Violence Forms of violence Physical assault. Verbal/non-verbal abuse. Harassment and bullying. Threatening behavior. Law No. 11 of 2004 Issuing the Penal Code: Article 308 Whoever assaults any person in any way, and where the assault leads to their sickness or incapacity to work for more than twenty days shall be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years and/or a fine not exceeding ten thousand Qatari Riyals (QR 10.000). The penalty shall be imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years and/or a fine not exceeding fifteen thousand Qatari Riyals (QR 15.000) if the act is premeditated or is executed by more than one person . Article 309 Whoever purposely assaults any person in any way and where the assault is not as grave as is stipulated in the two preceding Articles shall be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year and/or a fine not exceeding five thousand Qatari Riyals (QR 5.000). Also, the penalty will be applied, as per Annexure# 01 in EMCO Procedure for Handling Employees Complaints, Grievances and Requests Reference# QHSE/CGR-36. Disciplinary Action- EMCO EMCO will terminate the involved employees with immediate effect without any benefits.

Tools, Equipment and machineries The tools, equipment and machinery available in the site include: Power tools: Grinding machine Drilling machine Steel cutting machine Equipment: Crane Ladders Mobile and Fixed Scaffolds Hand Tools: Hammer Shovels Axe

Tools, Equipment and machineries The right and safe tool, equipment and machinery shall be selected for the right job ALWAYS. The Risk assessment and method statements shall always be referred to when using the tools, equipment or machinery for any job. The tools, machinery and equipment shall be regularly inspected according to the provided procedures. Modified tools shall not be allowed in the site. Only EMCO inspected and tagged tools will be used in the site. Only experienced and competent personnel will be required to perform the various required activities. All site personnel must attend tool box talks and ensure the work instructions are adhered to prior to start of any activity. Tool box talks records shall be kept for future reference.

Manual Handling Consider the volume and shape of the object while deciding the number of person to be used. Use lifting aids wherever possible. Use only tested/ certified lifting tackles, retain their copies at site. Use kinetic method of material handling. Repeat the same procedure while unloading Use leg muscles to lift. Avoid jerks while lifting. Plan the lift before executing

Working at height Working in any place where, if precautions are not taken, a person could fall and injure themselves. This includes places above, at or below ground level. Working at height Select the right equipment for access to heights. Follow the Risk assessment and Method statement. Wear full body safety harness with double lanyard and anchored with strong support when working above 2Mheight. Personal protective equipment must be worn as prescribed for each job.

External factors Heat stress and dehydration of workers working at heights. Dust and blowing sand – causes poor visibility and instability. Dizziness and feelings of instability when working at heights

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Do’s: Check wiring to make sure it’s properly insulated & double earthing for portable power tools the right choice for the job (e.g., labeled for use outdoors or in work areas with hazardous substances) Check that electrical connections are tight. Match plugs and outlets (three-pronged plugs go into three-pronged outlets only) Read and follow manufacturer’s instructions for electrical equipment. Obey warnings to stay away from electrical circuits and locked-out equipment. Keep the work area clean, and promptly and properly dispose of oily rags, paper, sawdust or anything else that could burn. Keep electrical equipment clean. Inspect electrical tools before each use. Report any electrical tool, equipment or wire problems immediately Use only valid Calibrated measuring tools for works. ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Don'ts Use a power tool that smokes, sparks, smells or shocks. Overload motors, circuits or outlets Run cords along the floor Put anything but a plug into an electrical outlet. Place cords near heat or water. Touch anything electric with wet hands. Leave machinery or heating equipment running unattended after working hours. Let cords get twisted or tangled. Get closer than 10 feet to a power line (if you’re an unqualified employee). Reach blindly into a space that may contain energized equipment. Confined space Confined space is that: Space that is large enough and so configured that employee can bodily enter and perform assigned work Has limited or restricted means for entry or exit (i.e. tanks, vessels, silos, pits, vaults or hoppers) Is not designed for continuous employee occupancy

Road Safety Passenger “Looking after them” Wearing a seat belt at all times Keeping all of their body inside the vehicle Entering and exiting the vehicle via the kerb side if it is unsafe to do so, on the road side due to traffic or road conditions (Remember to Stop Look Listen Think when using road side for entering and exit) Never allow the passenger to seat on cargo bed Never allow personnel’s/materials over then the rated capacity of vehicle, Never touch or fiddle with door handles, keys, handbrake or indicators Never remove your seatbelt while the vehicle is moving or stationary. Road Safety Passenger “Looking after the driver” Performing tasks on behalf of the driver e.g. receiving and making mobile phone calls, navigating and reading maps etc… Locating and identifying landmarks and destination Not encouraging the driver to partake in risky or anti social behavior Not distracting the driver through excessive conversation or by inappropriate behavior Not talking to the driver during times of high driver workload Detecting imminent hazards and warning the driver Helping other passengers to wear and adjust seat belts Monitoring the drivers state of alertness Questioning poor or risky driver behavior

Don’t overload the storage cabin. Do not lean back with your feet on a desk. Do not locate file cabinet close to doorways or in aisles. Regular PPM to be carried out for electrical equipment. Do not use chair as access.

E Excavation safety Excavation means any cut, cavity, trench or depression in the earth’s surface resulting from rock or soil removal. y Excavation hazards include: 1. Cave-ins are the greatest risk 2. Accidental damage of underground utility lines 3. Falls into Excavations 4. Equipment / Material Falling into Excavations 5. Explosion / Fire / Electrocution Follow the provided control measures in the EAIA /RA

Heat stress/ illness prevention Heat stress occurs when the body's temperature regulation fails and body temperature rises to critical levels. It is a medical emergency that can lead to death.  Heat  exhaustion is a result of the combination of excessive  heat  and dehydration.

Heat stress – Control measures Continuous visual monitoring of workers under direct sun and heavy work No lone working Work under shade Stop elevated and confined space work (unless critical and risk assessment done) Stop work (unless critical and risk assessment done) Note: Do not drink more than 1.5 liters (6 glasses) per hour Degree of Heat Stress may vary with age, health and body characteristics Do not take any form of salt supplement until advised by a medical practitioner For critical task, the maximum rest cycle: 20 minutes work : 20 minutes rest

Waste Management / housekeeping

Waste Management / housekeeping All the waste material generated at the work site will be collected on daily basis in a skips provided at appropriate location. Waste segregation must be practiced, that is, metals, timber, glass, plastics will be collected separately. The skips will be disposed periodically. All the materials at worksite will be neatly stacked in the designated location provided with suitable enclosures.
