I. Objectives
1. For knowledge:
- Gain an overview of the topic “Humans and environment”.
- Build up vocabulary and revise collocations related to the topic “Humans and environment”.
- Identify the use of will and be going to, the passive voice.
2. For competences:

+ Always be active and positive in doing one’s work in study and life; know how to help
people who rely on others to be better themselves to have a self-reliant lifestyle.

1. Activity 1. Warm up
a) Objectives: - To create a lively atmosphere in the classroom;
- To lead into the new unit.
b) Content: - Watch the video “If nature can speak”.

- Step 1: Give assignment:
+ Teacher asks students to watch the video and
relax before going to the new lesson.
+ Teacher leads to the topic of the lesson: Unit 2:
Humans and environment
- Step 2: Carry out assignment:
+ Students watch the video.
+ Teacher controls the class and gives help if
necessary.
- Step 3: Report and discuss:
+ After watching the video related to humans and
environment, teacher asks students to talk about
their feelings and thoughts involving the video.

a) Objectives: - To introduce the unit topic (Go Green Club);
- To introduce some vocabulary and the grammar points to be learnt in the unit.
b) Content: Students listen and read the conversation.

- Step 1: Give assignment:
+ Teacher focuses Ss’ attention on the conversation
and elicits the names of the two speakers (Nam and
Mike) and what they are talking about (Go Green
Club); then asks Ss to listen to the recording.
+ Teacher asks Ss to listen and read.
+ Teacher put Ss in pairs to practice the
conversation.
- Step 2: Carry out assignment:
+ Students listen to conversation individually and
practice in pairs to read the conversation.
+ Teacher controls the class and gives help if
necessary.
- Step 3: Report and discuss:
+ Teacher calls on one or two pairs of Ss to read the
conversation aloud.
+ Teacher asks the other groups to listen and give
comments.
