Testing
Testing Chance to gather feedback, refine solutions, and continue to learn about your users The test mode is an iterative mode in which you place low- resolution prototypes in the appropriate context of your user’s life Prototype as if you know you’re right, but test as if you know you’re wrong
Guidelines when Planning a Test Let your users compare alternatives Create multiple prototypes, each with a change in variable, so that your users can compare prototypes and tell you which they prefer Show, don’t tell: let your users experience the prototype Avoid over- explaining how your prototype works, or how it is supposed to solve your user’s problems Ask users to talk through their experience When users are exploring and using the prototype, ask them to tell you what they’re thinking Observe Observe how your users use — either “correctly” or “incorrectly” — your prototype, and try to resist the urge to correct them when they misinterpret how it’s supposed to be used Ask follow up questions Always follow up with questions, even if you think you know what the user means 4
Step 1: Sumber Feedback
Step 2: Pilih Partisipan
Step 3: Bangun Pedoman Pengujian
Step 4: Fasilitas Dialog Feedback
Step 5: Ambil Pembelajaran
Step 6: Integrasikan Feedback
Step 7: Identifikasi Kebutuhan
Some areas of a test that you should take into consideration: The prototype Remember that you testing the prototype, not the user Context and scenario Try to recreate the scenario in which your users are most likely to be using the product How you interact with the user Make sure your users know what the prototype and test result are about, but do no over- explain how the prototype works How you observe and capture feedback Make sure you are not disrupting the user’s interaction with the prototype, e.g., by recording an audio or video of the test Conducting a User Test 13
Real- time capture of feedback on presentations and prototypes Arranges thoughts and ideas into four categories for easy assessment Fill in the matrix as you give or receive feedback 1st quadrant: Constructive criticism 2nd quadrant: Place things one likes or finds notable 3rd quadrant: Questions raised 4th quadrant: New ideas spurred Feedback Capture Matrix 14
Testing – Final Take 15 Negative feedback is your way to learn and improve “ If you’re not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original ” - Sir Ken Robinson
Tugas Kelompok 6 1. Tanyakan dan rekam kepada target user (apa ada kekurangan dan berikan pendapat)
