3. PRIME SPOT MEDICAL AND DIAGNOSTICS CENTER The Prime spot medical and diagnostics centre is a privately owned hospital, located at Onihale , Ifo, Ogun state. It was established on 26/3/ 2021 and operates on 24 hours daily schedule. The services offered at the t he Prime spot medical, and diagnostics centre are medical services, pediatric services, special clinical services (ANC-antenatal care, immunization, HIV/AIDS services, tuberculosis, non- communicable diseases, family planning, child survival, nutrition, health education and community mobilization), obstetrics and gynecology services, onsite laboratory, and onsite pharmacy.

5. SOME LABORATORY EQUIPMENT MICROSCOPE: is a basic laboratory instrument used to examine objects that cannot be viewed by the naked eyes. Microscope has different parts which are: mechanical stage, objective lens, clip, fine- adjusts, coarse, arm, foot/base, eye piece, oil- immersion, mirror/ illuminator. HAEMATOCRIT READER : This item provides hematocrit values for texting in biochemistry, immunity, genetics, blood separation, and for general clinical test. CAPILARY TUBE: This is a very thin tube made of metal, they are used to collect samples of liquid which flows into the tube against the effects of gravity in a process called capillary action. GLUCOMETRE: A glucometer measures the quantity of sugar that exist in blood samples. The drop of blood from the fingertip is enough for a test strip. BUCKET CENTRIFUGE : This apparatus is found in most clinical laboratories to purify cells, subcellular organelles, viruses, proteins, and nucleic acid.

7. PCV- PACKED CELL VOLUME (HEMATOCRIT TEST ) It is also known as hematocrit test, it is a test done to detect or diagnose anemia, dehydration, polycythemia. It is generally art of full blood count test that is used to estimate the need for certain blood transfusion. An increase in PCV is majorly caused by dehydration , heart disease A decrease in PCV is caused by blood loss/bleeding, old age, malaria, vitamin, or mineral deficiencies. The range of PCV vary substantially with age, sex, and race. Then in Men- 38.3-48.6%, Women-35.3-44.9% , and Infant-45-65%.

8. PROCEDURE FOR PCV- PACKED CELL VOLUME (HEMATOCRIT TEST ) The test is conducted with the use of capillary tubes, hematocrit centrifuge, plasticine, lancet, hematocrit reader. After the blood sample has been withdrawn, the blood sample must be mix by inversion and then the blood sample is filled in an heparin capillary tube about 2/3 full, the end the tube is then sealed with plasticine and subjected to hematocrit centrifuge for spingoid revolution of 1500 for 5 minutes and after, the hematocrit centrifuge stops itself result is read with the aid of hematocrit reader and the result is expressed in liter/liter.

9. SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS The experience gained are very essential to my field of study, the knowledge of bacterial investigation, antimicrobial susceptibility test, tests on Mycobacterium tuberculosis and the human Immuno Deficiency Virus are all very relevant to my field of study. This exposure to practical work has helped me develop a better appreciation of what is taught in school. In the applied biochemistry discipline, the benefits of such practical experience are numerous. Certificates should be given to students after the completion of the training It would be good if there was a proper orientation program, in which past IT students would share their knowledge and experience gained during IT
