Everyday Greetings

Inviting students to pray Before we start our lesson today, I would like to invite everyone to send a short prayer to God Almighty. Shall we? I would like to invite (Insert student name) from class (Class Name). Please, come forward and lead us with the prayer. It's time to begin our lecture. Let's all lower our heads to begin a short prayer together.

Taking attendance Let’s take a roll call. Let’s take your attendance. I’d like to make sure who is here and who is not. When I call your name, please raise your hand.

You may address your students as ‘ C lass’ or ‘ L adies and gentlemen’. Informally, you may say ‘ Everyone ’ or ‘ Guys ’. If it is the 1 st meeting, you could say: Welcome, everybody. I’d like to welcome you all to this course 3. Teach your students to use your English title Dr./Mr./ Mrs /Miss (if it is appropriate). Calling the teacher ‘Mom’ is inappropriate.
