Clinical features Micrognathia of maxilla – due to deficiency of premaxillary area and it appears to have the middle third of face retracted true mandibular micrognathia – uncommon and patient appears clinically to have severe retrusion of chin, steep mandibular angle and deficient chin button there is abnormal alignment of teeth the jaw is small enough to interfere with feeding of infant and may require special nipples in order to feed adequately
