WHAT MAKES TEAMWORK WORK I’ve always been interested in that question for years that I’ve been working and leading people. There are Team Players vs. those that I called Team Slayers posses four(4) characteristics: Commitment: to the goals of the Team, they committed to the vision and what the Team is about and they’re on board to help to achieve that vision.
Communication: you know information is power. One of the ways people wheel power of others is withholding information. That simply not the case with a good team. Good team players are willing to communicate and share information that other team members need .
Cooperation: that’s a willingness to work together, that means you can’t put up with people who I called the low rangers of teamwork. They’re not the people that says “I will just try to do a good job just leave me alone. They need to understand they’re interdependent with other team members and their success with the team is based on their willingness to cooperate.
Contribution: People have to create results, good intentions are not enough. One of the ways you can evaluate whether or not someone is a Team player or a Team Slayer is by looking at their: Commitment Communication Cooperation Contribution
