Business will always be here because people need goods and services in order to survive. There are always business opportunities for people who are resourceful, creative, and risk-taker.

Here are some factors to consider in searching for business opportunities:

Location of the business

Business location is defined as  a place or structure occupied by a firm to run its operations . This includes any structure or establishment used in conducting a business. Starbucks places its coffee houses in high-street, high-visibility locations in various settings, including downtown and suburban areas.

Capital

Capital is  the money used to build, run, or grow a business . It can also refer to the net worth (or book value) of a business. Capital most commonly refers to the money used by a business either to meet upcoming expenses, or to invest in new assets and projects.

Needs of the community

  Business Opportunities in the Community. •Business will always be here because people need goods and services in order to survive. Community needs refer to  the requirements and demands of a specific community in order to meet their basic needs and improve their quality of life . These needs can include access to adequate food, energy, housing, sanitation, employment, water supply, and healthcare

Available resources

Resource Availability refers to the extent to which necessary resources – such as personnel, equipment, materials, time, and budget – are accessible and ready for use in a project, process, or organization. 

Target Market

A target market is  a group of potential customers that you identify to sell products or services to . Each group can be divided into smaller segments. Segments are typically grouped by age, location, income and lifestyle.

Manpower

Manpower refers to  the total number of individuals who are employed in a company or available for a particular project assignment or work.

Skills and Interest

Interests are things you find desirable, enjoyable, fun, or pleasant . Engaging in activities that match your interests provides enrichment, excitement, and energy. SKILLS. Your skills are sometimes called your talents. They are represented by activities that you are good at doing.

The process of directly selling goods in small amounts or quantities to consumers (costumers) is called retail merchandising

REMEMBER THESE Observing what people are buying everyday gives you an idea of their needs and wants. Asking people personally what they need most is another way of identifying entrepreneurial opportunities. Observing, examining, and studying the community and what goes on in a business are all ways of identifying entrepreneurial opportunities.

4. Availability, quantity, and price of needed raw materials provide opportunities for productive activities. 5. Talking to your friends, family, and relatives can also provide you with different information on the things going on at their work or at home and knowing what supplies and demands are there in their workplace and neighborhood. 6. Keep in touch with new and latest updates and developments in your community, especially on what’s going on in the market.

7. The internet is one of the major technological advancements. You can easily access almost everything you want to and perform a task in just a matter of seconds. 8. There are many different ways that you can get good ideas. One of which is from your hobbies or the leisure activities that you do inside or outside of your house.
