In among the flowers.
While I stand and smell the aroma,
The fragrant lasts for hours.
Wandering through natural beauty,
Walking row after row.
Lavender fields a lilac sheen,
As the wind does gently blow.

When I wake up I hope I’d be a radiant purple lavender prune.

into the gray rocks.
When forth I go from here the love I heedlessly
give, mostly in vain for I am stupid
and miss the moment, it has blest me silly
when forth I go
and when, sitting as gray as these gray rocks
among the lavender, I breathe the lavender’s
tireless squandering, I liken it
to my silly loving,
I liken my silly indefatigable
loving to the lavender which has grown over
all my garden, banks, and borders, up
into the gray rocks.

into the gray rocks.

The twilight hangs like smoke in the streets,
Pearly, veiling all the stretches in illusion;
And the new-lit lamps are the glow of hearts
That grope unseeing and unseen.
At the corner a lean young girl offers me lavender,
Offers me youth and romance to hold in my palm, closed-thus.
She gives dreams to the world,
She who knows nought of dreams-
Gives gardens, and waters, and the young shy moon
Hung in the laurels;
Gives the smoke of evening in the willows,
And the complaining stream,
And the lavender’s subtle reawakening of old, dead thoughts.
These, all these she gives, this lean girl-
(A shawl is over her head and her eyes look into the dark ness).
What does she know of dreams?
How more happy is she than I who have dreamed,
And may dream no more!

Covid-19’s seen to that
But Emily our daughter
has been keeping it intact
We’re seeing lots of pictures
which she takes from time to time
and I’m pleased to say as ever
that it’s looking mighty fine
But no substitute the pictures
for actually being there
and by that we’re disappointed
as the work we’d like to share
But in spite of that of course
the allotment keeps on growing

by the smile upon my face

A rich abundance fills the air
Breathe in, breathe in again
In the knowledge and the surety
that long will this remain

My lavender cries in its daydreams;
Giggles in sorrowful screams,
And faints and dies beneath fun daylight;
As though tortured and wounded by the sun.
My lavender wriggles in isolation;
Like those ragged clothes in damnation
And there’s no more death between heaven and hell–
For none is alive, nor breathes to live.
My lavender longs not to drink nor die;
But it sleeps by the hushed setting moon,
Trapped behind the tail of his lethal winds;
Blinded by too many mysteries, unseen.
My lavender peels its own skinny bones;
Its quaint lust cut and fiercely torn,
Teased by the cold trees of summertime;
Faded by the sweet whispers of time.
My lavender eats its own bloodless veins;
And its hateful friendless world,
Having laughed at anonymous walls
Marveled at unspoken poems.
My lavender drinks of its own soul;
And to love now is but to have none,
With her autumn love stolen by fate;

Last night I had a dream I soared the heavens above
I met an angel pure in every sense
drenched in lavender wreaths
Last night I awoke to find her face painted against your brow
As you became the sand beneath my feet
Supporting every step into the bliss of you
Navigating a flight not seen by many
A sense of warmth dawned into the rise of your eyes
As it tiptoed closer into the eclipse of eyes now awake
Every star
an ocean that capsized into the warmth of your touch
even when we laughed
we cried
In fear this moment would soon come to end
As I laid there asleep I awoke into an accent never before seen
never before felt
A lovers endless moment
Just moments before my eyes woke to find I never left

We were able to buy the products
Made from the Lavender flowers
All wrapped in pretty Lavender paper
We could have looked at them for hours
Then we strolled out to the pond
It was really beautiful and so serene
I wanted to take pictures
Of everything I’d seen
The bees were buzzin’ ‘round
Drinking the nectar so very sweet
They felt the way that we did
The farm flowers were such a treat
So come to see this special place
They might even give you a little snip
To take home with you, my friend
As you enjoy your Lavender Farm Trip!
