Do not use the present continuous tense with stative verbs. Stative verbs show a state of being that does not show qualities of change. These verbs can stay in the simple present. For example: thoughts and opinions : agree, believe, doubt, guess, imagine, know, mean, recognise , remember, suspect, think, understand feelings and emotions : dislike, hate, like, love, prefer, want, wish possession and measurement : belong, have, measure, own, possess, weigh.

The question form wh - question Wh - word + (am, is, are) + sub + v+ing Examples: What is he learning? What are you eating? Yes, no questions (am, is, are) + sub + v+ing Is she studying? Are we going to the cinema?
