What’s New The Covid - 19 pandemic has taken its toll to a lot of people around the world, and to bring up, the Philippines and its people are greatly affected by this turmoil, that a lot of adjustments and initiatives have to be done. The education sector is one of t he many that have been ravaged by this dreaded unseen enemy. In order to keep up with what the status quo demands, and fortunately because of the readily - available technology, life has not been so unimaginable coping with the problems the pandemic has brou ght. In order to have an easier transmission of information coming from students and teachers, technology definitely comes in handy in which students can have their classes in a synchronous manner, or can have softcopies of their modules sent through elec tronic mail. Furthermore, they can easily submit outputs and other necessary information via an online portfolio. E - portfolio or online portfolio will be brought up along with what Googlemail and Google drive are and their how -tos in this lesson. What i s an e - portfolio? An e - portfolio is an electronic format for students to record their work, goals, and achievements, reflect on their learning, and share their learning and receive feedback. It enables students to represent information in different formats and, depending on the software, take the information with them between schools. Why use e - portfolios? "It is the learning that really matters. Creating an e - portfolio involves skills essential for 21st century learning – organizing and planning material, giving and receiving feedback, reflecting, selecting and arranging content to communicate with a particular audience in the most effective way." - Gray, L. (2019). Getting started with e - portfolios. Jisc E - Portfolios "are a way to generate learning as well as document learning " ( Basken, 20 08 ). It generates learning because they provide an opportunity and virtual space for students to critically assess their work, to reflect on that work, and make connections among different subject areas, assignments, and other activities, such as work exp erience, and extracurricular activities. Moreover, it is an effective learning tool because it support s students’ own knowledge construction, make otherwise invisible aspects of the learning process visible, and place agency in the hands of students, which fosters learners’ motivation. 6

Assessment and reporting An e - portfolio can reflect the students' learning process and progress. Using a digital portfolio to track learning journeys supports formative assessment to improve future learning outcomes. It also allows the student, their peers, teacher, and parents to share the

learning process as each participant can contribute in real time to enhance current learning while also promoting further learning. A digital portfolio supports partnerships in learning, le arning convers a tions, self - regulation, feedback, engagement, and assessment as learning. Building digital fluency Creation and management of an e - portfolio provide students with opportunities to build digital fluency, using technologies to create, select, organize, edit, and evaluate their work. Technology enables the use of a range of media – video, audio, and images – as well as text to show both the learning process and final products.
