The outline of the system:
As the turbine is tripped, air is let into the condenser
through vacuum breaker valve to increase the condenser
pressure and as a result to make a brake for the rotor to
stop more quickly.
While the system is working, no air should enter the
turbine/condenser space, therefore the vacuum breaker
valve is sealed by a small constant mass flow of water of
about 3.8 kg/s.
