Start and End Dates
•This course has a Start Date and an End Date.
•Pace yourself through the class.

Assignments, Quizzes, and the Final Exam
•For each module, you will have two assessments:
–Assignment
–Quiz
•After all Modules are complete, you will also have a
Final Exam.
•You must complete all assessments by the end date of
the class.

SmartBook
•The SmartBook will adapt the reading experience based on
your mastery of the learning objectives.
•When the SmartBook loads, you will be prompted to either
Start with Reading or Start with Questions - it’s up to you,
depending on how familiar you are with the material assigned.

SmartBook
•In Questions, the SmartBook will continue to ask you questions
until you’ve demonstrated mastery of each concept within the
assignment.
•If the SmartBook learns from your answers that you’re
struggling with certain topics, it will prompt you to jump back
into the Reading Stage to learn more by highlighting the
Concept Resources icon in the top right corner.

•Watch each Module’s lecture.

Discussion Forums
•Discussion Forums are provided for interaction between
students.
•Utilize these forums throughout your course.

Assignments
•Assignments are GRADED Module assessments.
•Assignments allow two attempts with access to the eBook and
resources.

Quizzes
•After completing everything else for the Module, take the
graded Module quiz.
•The quizzes are to test your comprehension of the material for
each Module.
•You can only take each Module quiz ONCE, so make sure you
are ready.
•Quizzes DO NOT allow access to the eBook or resources.

Final Exam
•At the end of the class, there will be a Final Exam due.
•As you work through the class, remember that this is all
information that you maybe tested on in the Final Exam.
•One attempt.
•No access to the eBook or resources.
