Discussion Bakery items, such as bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and muffins, are a significant part of culinary culture and are enjoyed by people of all ages worldwide. In Bangladesh, the health and nutrition of school children are crucial, as they are the future of the nation. Access to nutritious bakery items can contribute to their overall well-being and cognitive development. By providing healthy options like whole grain breads and fruit-filled pastries, energy levels can be sustained, leading to improved concentration and academic performance. Promoting balanced bakery items can help combat malnutrition and support physical growth.

Discussion High consumption rates of non-nutritious bakery items among school children raise concerns about their overall health and well-being. The absence of regulations on ingredients and nutritional content in bakery items may contribute to these high consumption rates. Implementing stricter regulations and monitoring the nutritional content of bakery items can positively impact the health and well-being of children in Bangladesh. The influence of marketing and availability in schools also contributes to unhealthy bakery items' consumption.

Discussion Bakery items often contain high levels of refined sugar and trans fats, which can negatively impact children's health. A nutritional analysis can help parents and school administrators make informed decisions about food options in schools, promoting healthier options and improving overall health. Low levels of essential nutrients, such as vitamins and minerals, can also contribute to obesity and related health issues. Providing healthier options with reduced sugar, fat, and calories can help mitigate these risks.

Consuming bakery items can increase the risk of diabetes and heart disease, negatively impact cognitive development and academic performance, and contribute to allergies and digestive problems. Encouraging children to opt for nutritious foods and limiting their consumption can help foster optimal cognitive development and academic success. Discussion

Conclusion Our survey found that students favor bakery items and mostly don’t do exercise. 76.6% of survey participants choosing the least healthful caloric consumption over healthy food.

Recommendations Low-fat, nutritious diets should replace bakery products. Nutritional education is crucial for children and adolescents as well as their parents and school staffs. Implementing regulations and labeling. Encourage physical activity. Engaging with the food manufacturers and retailers to promote nutritious options for children.
