2. WHAT IS A CAPTION TEXT? A caption is a short descriptive or explanatory text, usually one or two sentences long, which accompanies a photograph, picture, map, graph, pictorial illustration, figure, table or some other form of graphic content contained in a book or in a newspaper or magazine article . A c aption is a text that appear s below an image .

9. IDENTIFICATION CAPTION : Caption text  is usually used to explain or identify the person in the photo. Identification caption text emphasizes the clarity

10. GROUP CAPTION : Group Caption  is used to explain multiple pictures. The information should be at least a sentence for each picture.

11. STORY-TELLING CAPTION : Story-telling caption  is used to tell a story behind the picture.

12. SUMMARY CAPTION : Summary Caption explains the subject in the photo, the event and the location of the photo , the time when the photo was taken, and the reason why it happened.  

13. QUOTE CAPTION : Quote caption  contains quotations from someone in the image.  

14. CUTLINE CAPTION : Cutline caption explains the subject in the image and what the subject is doing.  

15. EXPANDED CAPTION : E xpanded Caption is the most complete caption type. It is the development from the summary caption.
