A Life Worthy of Imitation

Slide Content

3 John 1:11-12

A Life Worthy of Imitation The Lessons from Demetrius Acts 19:23-41 3 John 1:11-12

Live in Truth Living in truth means walking in obedience to God and reflecting His character in all areas of life. It’s not enough to know the truth; we must live it out daily, allowing God’s Word to shape our actions and decisions.

The choices we make today—how we live, who we follow , and what we prioritize —will determine where we end up.

Every small decision we make—good or bad—affects our future.

John 8:31-32: "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

A Godly Testimony Demetrius was "well spoken of by everyone," showing that his life left a positive impact on those around him. His actions matched his faith, making him an example of what it means to live a godly life.

A Godly Testimony A godly testimony is built through consistent actions, integrity, and love. As Christians, we are called to be salt and light in the world, pointing others to Christ through our words and deeds. People may not always read the Bible, but they will read our lives. What story does your life talk about God?

Matthew 5:16 "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Be Worthy of Imitation A s Christians, we are called to live in a way that others can look to us as examples of Christ’s love and character. This doesn’t mean perfection, but a life committed to following Jesus. Be someone who inspires others to grow in their faith by your example.

1 Corinthians 11:1 "Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ."

Conclusion Demetrius may not be a household name in the Bible, but his life teaches us powerful lessons about Christian living: Live in Truth – Let God’s Word guide your life. Have a Godly Testimony – Let your life reflect Christ to others. Be Worthy of Imitation – Strive to be a positive influence for God’s Kingdom.

We are called to live lives that honor God and inspire others. Though the world may not recognize our efforts, God sees our faithfulness and rewards those who live for Him.
