Guiding principle All students must be given a fair chance to demonstrate their achievement of the learning outcomes being measured. a physical and psychological environment conducive to their best effort and the control of factors that might interfere with the valid measurement .
Guiding principle cont.… Students will not perform at their best if they are tense and anxious during testing, the antidote to anxiety is to convey to students, by word and deed , This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY
Steps It describes the feasibility of items, guides to correct questions, helps the students to advance plan for the development of study/learning experiences. This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-ND

Graduate students or other faculty can help for the few minutes at the beginning of class that seating may take. write role numbers on seats with chalk. Seating arrangement of the hall
Have extra copies of the test on hand, in case you have miscounted or in the event of some other problem. Previous year's question papers must be compiled in a file in the library for students to review. Give students practice exams before the real test. Tests prepare students for final examinations. Explain, in advance of the test day, the exam format and rules, and explain how to attempt various questions with time management. Before taking tests. Arrangement of question papers and answer sheets

After Distributing Test Papers If the test has more than one page, have each student check to see that all pages are there. To complete the front sheet, consisting of all details, such as roll number class, subject, etc. Ask students to count the number of leaflets in the answer booklet. If a separate answer sheet is used, it usually can be distributed first, followed by the test booklets. During the distribution of the test booklets, the teacher should instruct students not to turn over the test booklets and begin the test until told to do so.
during the test give time warnings if students are not pacing up their work appropriately. Make a note of any questions students ask during the test so that those issues can be taken care of in the future.
Avoiding things while test administering: - not talk unnecessarily before the test. Keep interruption to a minimum during the test. c) Avoid giving hints to pupils who ask about individual items. d) Discourage cheating. Returning tests The process of returning exams can also promote student learning. preferably within 5 days, so that the material is still fresh in the students' minds Discuss the general results in class. In what areas did the students do well? Where did they struggle? If students have questions, agree to look over their papers again.
Returning tests cont.… Check the papers and add comments. Do test analysis after scoring and before returning papers to students . recording marks, record them in pencil in the internal assessment register .If there are errors/adjustments in scoring, they (marks) are easier to change when recorded in pencil. Provision of re-checking and re-evaluation should be made for transparency of results. Evaluation should be done carefully and honestly.
