MSN 297.1 COMPARATIVE ANALYSES
AREAS: Organizational Structure – MSU-IIT (College of Nursing)
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
MSU-IIT College of Nursing

The Mindanao State University- IIT College of Nursing was founded last June 2004, it was headed by the Chairman Prof.
Clowe D. Jondonero, as the extension of MSU-CHS, the College of Nursing was thereby created at MSU-IIT, separate and
distinct from that of the Collge of Health Sciences of the main campus last 2009. In January 2022, the newly selected College of
Nursing Dean Assoc. Professor Abdullah Junior D. Mangarun, DSN, MAN, RN with his Assistant Dean Asst. Prof. Geraldine S.
Ridad, MN, RN, and the part of the executive committee are the following; the Clinical Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Rambe C. Ramel
Jr. MAN,RN, the two Curriculum Coordinators Assoc. Prof. Khandy Lorraine G. Apsay, MAN, RN and Assoc. Prof. Roselyn M.
Butalid, PhD, MAN, RN, the Extension Coordinator Asst. Prof. Neil M. Martin, PhD, MAN, RN, and the Research Coordinator
Assoc. Prof. Mae-Lanie O. Poblete, DScN, MAN, RN, after that it is followed by the 18 faculty members then the 4 Staff as
showned by the Organizational Structure.

The Organizational Chart as seen, it has no level coordinators, who are responsible for the organization, implementation,
supervision, and evaluation of the school programs on his/her teaching level, that handles the faculty and the advisory of each
level for the bachelor of science in nursing. Nevertheless, compared to the other Organizational Chart, it was simple-looking and

can definitely know who are the person that you can approach in times of issues and concerns on specific situation, and it was
easy to identify the hierarchy of ranks and positions especially the indiviuals who are part of the executive committee.

AREAS: Organizational Structure – Mindanao Institute Healthcare Personnel, INC (MIHP)

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
Mindanao Institute Healthcare Personnel, INC

The Mindanao Institute of Healthcare Professionals (MIHP), Inc is a private higher educational institution in Marawi
City, Lanao del Sur. The school was founded to produce more healthcare professionals in ARMM, which will then lead to better
healthcare services for the residents in the area. At present, MIHP offers bachelor’s degree program in Nursing and in Midwifery.
Professor Norhidayah A. Arnorol, RN, MAN, is the current Dean of the institution and was elected in 2019.

As seen in the organizational structure of the intitution, it has no existing executive committee assigned to help the
organization in the implementation, supervision, evaluation, and more importantly holds the senior administrative role which are
to lead the institution, oversee the management, and make administrative decisions to support the organization’s goals of the
program such as the college sectretary, the research & extension coordinator, review coordinator, etc. Some broken lines could
also be seen in the organizational structure since part time lecturers and information technologist are not officially a faculty and
staff members.
