Vision 3 The Centre for Moving Image envisions a dynamic landscape where narratives are crafted with precision and creativity, shaping the future of visual communication. Our program is dedicated to moulding enthusiasts into adept specialists, equipped with the skills and sensibilities to analyse and create impactful moving images. Tailored semesters offer cutting-edge training in cinematography, animation, sound design, video editing, and emerging media, empowering students to excel in advertising, social commentary, and narrative storytelling that resonates with society. We plunge students into the bedrock of visual communication, emphasizing artistry and design, and cultivate them into proficient storytellers who master the latest media technologies. Our program acts as a dynamic crucible for skill enhancement, fostering personal growth and industry readiness through a resolute focus on innovation, technique, and up-to-the-minute industry standards.
Objective 4 Objective: Enhancing academic programs and fostering a holistic learning environment: Emphasize entrepreneurship to cultivate innovation; foster industry collaboration and establish incubation centres; integrate ethics into curricula and connect academia with government and public spheres; promote empathy in technology use and effective media coordination; involve communities in policy-making and research and implement team teaching for diverse perspectives; establish student portals for work showcase and archives; expand course curricula with interdisciplinary inputs; emphasize design thinking for problem-solving; and prioritize continuous feedback and internal resource utilization for optimal learning outcomes.

Gaining an understanding of avant-garde art and its historical context, exploring key movements and artists that have shaped this art form. 6 Visual Storytelling Proposal Offered Introduction to Graphic Design: Exploring the medium of Image Making through, drawing, typography, photography, and many aspects to look at an image as sophisticated graphical entities. It is to emphasize the graphical media as a mean of storytelling and Idea building. 7 Workshop-III Proposal Offered Synthesis between Traditional narratives and contemporary technology. Explore the transformation and adaptation of folktales in the context of new media. Participants will delve into the structural elements and archetypal patterns of folktales. 8 Media Entrepreneurship Proposal Offered Data visualisation and other analytical skills to explore venues for media enterprise. To equip participants with the knowledge and skills to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities in the field of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). 9 Workshop-IV Proposal Offered Workshop-IV is an exercise in research based iconographic understanding of storytelling and how it serve as a analytical tool to stay precise while knowing the audience and deliver the story at a competitive level. 10 Research Writing Proposal Offered fundamentals of developing necessary skills and knowledge to conduct research and produce high-quality written work in the field. They will create a theme and with a sense of comprehension the show will be organized. ALL Semester 2. Varta -The Talk Series Varta is a talk show hosting people across the fraternity of Media, films and animation/more. It’s a student initiative to record podcasts and create a repository of interviews and sessions with eminent personality. ALL Semester 3. Baatein Filmon Ki Film sessions and dialogue post film screenings: BFK is a film club initiative to curate film shows in the presence of filmmakers/animators and artists projecting and discussing their work ALL Semester 4. Chitrapat Film Screenings More than just a film club, Chitrapat delves into the vast realm of media culture, sparking dialogue through a range of innovative events. Last year, our students organized and curated over 50 events, engaging with diverse communities throughout the city and fostering meaningful conversations across different segments of society. LibriMedia Contrasting the pace and purpose of the program, LibriMedia operates as an in-house media collaboration initiative that syncs with industry partners, fostering an environment ripe for industry insights and updates. Our students have successfully completed internships with prominent entities such as Mrs. Mage, a restaurant under Hyatt Regency in Ahmedabad. Additionally, collaborations with MRIGA, an NGO producing awareness-raising videos on lifestyle-related health issues, and ongoing projects with Aanjaneya Entertainment and Here&Now Films further enrich our engagement with the industry. From thought-provoking essays to captivating visual art, every piece is a reflection of the rich tapestry of voices within our university. Showcasing Moving Image Works: One of the highlights of our magazine is the dedicated section showcasing works from the discipline of Moving Image. This section serves as a comprehensive overview of the creative endeavors undertaken by students throughout the semester. Through in-depth analyses and behind-the-scenes insights, readers gain a deeper understanding of the artistic process and the innovative projects being pursued within our community. Short Reports on Semester Accomplishments: In addition to showcasing individual works, each issue includes short reports that highlight the collective accomplishments of Moving Image students during the semester. Whether it's the completion of a groundbreaking film project, the successful staging of a multimedia exhibition, or the publication of a collaborative digital art installation, these reports celebrate the achievements of our peers and inspire future collaboration and creativity.
