Definition Active :- Active listening is a communications techniques used in counselling training, and confict resolutions. It requires that the listening fully concentrate, understand, respond and then remember what is being said Passive :- "When a person is practicing passive listening , he is sitting quietly without responding to what the speakers is saying. When you listening to music or a podcast or even the news, are practicing passive listening . "

Active and passive lestening 1. Listen to a passage and pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation of the speaker. 2. When possible repeat some word and phrases after the speaker 3. If it's a podcast ,pause and rewind often. That will help you spot the words you haven't noticed before. 4. If possible, find the transcripts of the passage ,and sets did time to read through it to make sure what you got right and what you'd missed

Active varsus passive listening The difference between active and passive listening arises with the listrner's bahavior towards the speaker. In our day to day life, listening plays a key role is not confined to the act of merely hearing something , but also making sense of merely listening can take two forms.They are Active listening and passive listening. Active listening is when the listener is fully engage in what the speaker is saying.It is a two-way communications where the listening is quite different to the speaker.

However, passive listening is quite different active listening.In passive listening, the attention that listener gives to the speaker is lesser in comparison to active listening. It is a one-way communication where the lisreteing does not respond to the speaker.This article attempt to highlights the different between these two forms of listening.
