Activity Based Teaching/Learning (ABL) Activity-Based Learning (ABL) is a methodology where children learn at their own pace through various supervised activities. It provides holistic Learning opportunities in the classroom. It is a fun approach to learning as it boosts the development of the brain in children by providing constant stimulus by prompting them for responses during the lesson. Activity-based learning is achieved broadly in three ways namely in the classroom: exploration, experimentation, and communication
Benefits of ABL Encourage students to be independent and inquisitive Supports social and emotional development Help to develop problem solving skills Aid in enhancing conceptual understanding Encourages them to express themselves in different ways Get physically and mentally involved Supports academic success Get actively involved Improves memory, develop multiple skills Provides real life experience connections (Contextual learning)
