OBJECTIVES To prevent opportunities for fraud or for sacrificing the voter's privacy. To ensure that each eligible voter can vote only once To ensure that no one can falsify or modify the result of the voting by eliminating a valid vote or counting an invalid vote in the final tally.

INTRODUCTION The Biometrics technologies are used to measure and analyze personal characteristics. These characteristics include fingerprints, voice patterns, hand measurements, irises and others, all used to identify human characteristics and to verify identity. These biometrics or characteristics are tightly connected to an individual and cannot be forgotten, shared, stolen or easily hacked.

Contn… It deals with the design and development of an Electronic Voting Machine Authentication using Biometric Information. Here finger print is used as the Biometric information. The suggested fingerprint voting system allows the user to scan his/her fingerprint, in order to check his eligibility by comparing his current fingerprint with the one already stored in the systems database.

PROPOSED SYSTEM ➼The projected technique drafting board of choice method is all eligible voters’ details are needed therefore it's to store in database. Once the voter’s fingerprint is registered that voter is eligible to vote so, citizen will vote for desired candidate in election. ➼The higher than figure is clearly explained the flow of proposed technique. To store the fingerprint details of citizen arduino led light has to be high. Then for store a fingerprint number must set for fingerprint model.

Liquid crystal display screen displays the instruction for guide the voter to make a successful election. four authority are fixed in hardware instead of button. Infrared sensing element is for choosing desired candidate during the election. ➼After giving vote in the election the voter was not allowed to vote again.If it’s happened the display will show invalid or it won’t show candidates in the display at the same time the number of voters count will increase and additionally it'll store in EEPORM memory of arduino. this can be the total method of projected technique. the method is consisting of enrollment, identification, verification.

Contn.. ➼The proposed mechanical device technique is consisting of fingerprint module,it is used to scan voter’s finger for enrollment and identification. Users finger has to match with database that is already keep. ➼It's process of fingerprint templates. The enrollment section, the module scans a finger double to make identity. The image is extracted with the position and direction of finger alignment are available in database. ➼ If the fingerprint matches with database it will allow to vote. First method of the proposed system is to store the finger print value in database.

Contn.. ➼If the fingerprint matches it'll enable you to vote otherwise it'll print as invalid. Verification is to verify whether or not the used is eligible for voting or not. One to 1 matching is used during this method. Finally, voters cast their vote and it'll be kept. ➼The specification about the components is described here. ➼The elements that are used in the project are arduino, fingerprint sensor, universal asynchronous receiver and transmitter (UART), personal computer and these are the main components used in the proposed system.

Liquid Crystal Display (LCD): 1) Operating Voltage is 4.7V to 5.3V. 2) Current consumption is 1mA without backlight. 3) Alphanumeric LCD display module, meaning can display alphabets and numbers. 4) Consists of two rows and each row can print 16 characters. 5) Each character is build by a 5×8 pixel box. 6) Can work on both 8-bit and 4-bit mode.

HARDWARE DESIGN (Working)

SOFTWARE DESIGNING ARDUINO IDE: First, we must download the IDE and install it. For downloading there opens a page as shown in the below figure we can start it by using Arduino.cc website.

Contn.. The arrow uploads our code to the Arduino to run. 1. The dotted paper will create a new file. 2. The upward arrow is used to open an existing Arduino project. 3. The downward arrow is used to save the current file. 4. There is button at far right on the screen. That button is called as a serial monitor, which is useful for sending data from the Arduino to the PC for debugging purposes.

RESULTS ‣When matched sample is identified, it will validate the message on LCD . ‣According to the voters selectivity, the validate message for individual parties . ‣If user wants to see the statistics of individual party votes, then he/she has to press upload button.

Contn.. ‣Statistics of individual party’s vote on web page server. ‣When System is started, it tries to search the sample of fingerprint. .

ADVANTAGES ➡Safer than the prevailing methodology and can also avoid invalid votes throughout the election. ➡Less time need for vote and entreaty. ➡Less man power needed. ➡Temper-free & assure authentication:The system are fully centralized and vail voters are checked through biometric characteristics like finger prints so not invalid vote can be casted.

CONCLUSION ➼IoT-based smart voting system is designed and implemented here. The suggested system is more secure and reliable from any other traditional system, because authentication level is added in the system before voting process. ➼Authentication process is to be done using the method of fingerprint matching. As the IoT facility is added in the system, the statistics of the individual party vote can be uploaded onto the server. Because of the authentication stage, malfunctioning like fake voting, repeated voting can be overcome.

Condn.. ➼Suggested system is limited to do authentication process for 127 users only as fingerprint module used in the system is capable of scanning fingers of 127 users only. ➼The proposed system can be enhanced by linking the Aadhaar card or Voting Card of individual person’s with the system database. ➼Authentication process can also be increased in form of the face recognition or iris recognition or palm recognition
