Advantages of modern farming method Production increases due to using HYV(high yeilding variety) seeds,chemical fertiliser,pesticides , etc.
2.Enhanced productivity It increases amount of production per hectre or getting more output with same amount of input,land and labour
3.Improves living standards of a farmer It improves living standards of a farmes as they get more produce with the same out of land and labour.They sell the extra produce for extra money
4.Growth of country economy A griculture can make significant contribution to economic development by earning foreign exchange required for importing industrial raw materials and capital goods required for expanding industries . The lack of foreign exchange acts as a great constraint on the growth process.
5.It reduces man power Modern agricultural techniques help in reducing the manpower required for agricultural work so that the additional manpower available in the agriculture sector can be used in the industry sector to grow the Indian economy.
Disadvantages of modern farming methods
1.Soil damage It decreases soil fertility.If it is continued no crop will grow in it and we have to leave the land which can further lead in desertification.To fix this we will have to invest a lot of money
