2. ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT Organizational management is a sub module of SAP HCM which represents organizational plan and analysis of the current plan. It provides the organizational structure that deals with the allocation of employees within the system and determines the roles, responsibilities, and reporting relationships within an organization. Organizational plan depicts the functional, organizational and reporting structure between the position in an enterprise. 2

4. There are five basic object types. Each has its own object type key. Organizational Unit (O) – departments/group of employees/project teams. Job (C) – generic task held by multiple positions of same level. Position (S) – defines a job title. Person (P) – represents employee. 7. The three commonly used methods to create organizational structure are: Simple maintenance Creation of several objects simultaneously. Generates relationships automatically when an object is created. Enables to view graphical representation of structure.   Expert mode It is ideal for maintaining infotypes of any object type. Enables to view a list of infotypes that can be maintained for each object.   Organizational staffing Easy to create and maintain small structures from a single screen.
