KUMADORI ( “taking an impression” ) a stage makeup worn by kabuki actors The pattern of the makeup and the color stand for certain characters.
KUMADORI Red -strength and passion. Indigo, blue and black - fear and the evil. Green signals a ghosts or another kind of supernatural being. Purple stands for nobility.

SHODO Japanese art of calligraphy that's created with a brush.
SHODO It is written with 2 Kanji characters. SHO 書: to write, writing DO 道 : the path, the way
ORIGAMI Art of paper folding. Senbazuru- 1,000 origami cranes linked together with string (offered as a form of encouragement and prayer to people who are ill or have been affected by natural disaster)
The senbazuru have also come to represent the wish for peace.

* MANGA manga are one of the most fascinating phenomena in Japan and the whole world. Part of the “otaku” (nerd) culture In Japanese, the term “manga” can refer to all kinds of cartooning, comics and animation. It is composed of two kanji – “man”, meaning “whimsical or impromptu” and “ga”, meaning “pictures” , together forming.

* UKIYO - E refers to a style of Japanese woodblock print and painting. The word ukiyo refers to the world of common people and means "picture." ukiyo-e first emerged in the late sixteenth century, it usually depicted everyday life in the city of Kyoto.

Traditional Clothing
KIMONO is the most basic term for traditional Japanese dress. The term literally translates as "thing to wear."
HAKAMA A garment that's worn over kimono that's similar to wide pleated pants or a skirt depending on the style.
JAPANESE PAINTINGS
SHIKI - E Japan is blessed with four seasons. Shiki e is one of the important art forms in Japan wherein Artists are illustrating common and usual sceneries during seasons, basically and picture of a nature during winter.
MEISHO - E Meisho-e means “pictures of famous places’ ’ in Japanese. Traditionally, these places include religious pilgrimage sites, scenic wonders, places linked with poetry or legends.
BIJINGA Means pictures of beautiful women in Japanese Art.
