CERTIFICATE OF TRAINING:- Presented by:- Aman khan Roll no:- 19ESKME021 Branch:- Mechanical Section:- A1 Submitted to:- Mr. Arun Beniwal Training report on “Robotics workshop in collaboration with Enovate Skills ”
WORKSHOP:- Our workshop was of 15 days:- It was from 01 September 2021 to 15 September 2021 And it was divided into 2 parts:- (a) Basic Components Testing & Simulation (1 week) (b) Electronics Circuitry & Microcontroller Programming (Arduino) (1 week ) And it was hosted by Mr. Ajay Godara (Founder & CEO of Enovate Skills) It was held on ZOOM (an online platform for meetings).
CONTENTS:- Introduction Enovate Skills What is Robotics History Introduction to basic components Introduction to IC’S Arduino Programs:- (a) Obstacle IR sensor (b) Line Follower
Introduction:- With growing developments in the field of mechatronics and mathematic modeling, robotics has come a long way. From an iron piece that could move only a few inches, there are now machines capable of jumping from high-rise buildings, detecting landmines, performing operations and troubleshooting.
Enovate Skills:- “Enovate Skill” is a unit of Enovation Lab LLP, A Start-up of NITTTR(National institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chandigarh), established by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. They provide hands on workshop so that individual can learn things by doing as per future industry demand .
What is Robotics:- The word robotics is used to collectively define a field in engineering that covers the mimicking of various human characteristics. Robotics is the intersection of science, engineering and technology that produces machines, called robots, that substitute for (or replicate) human actions .
HISTORY:- Definitions of "robot" " a reprogrammable manipulator device“-British Department of Industry The word "robot" conjures up a variety of images, from R2D2 and C3PO of Star Wars fame. These are human-like machines that exist to serve their creators (perhaps in the form of the cooking and cleaning)
Introduction to IC’S:- A motor driver IC is an integrated circuit chip which is usually used to control motors in autonomous robots . LM 358 LM-324 IC-555
Arduino :- The Arduino Uno is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328 ( datasheet ). It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz ceramic resonator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.
Programs:- OBSTACLE DETECTOR IR SENSOR:- Step-1-Studying IR sensor Step-2:Making the Connections Step 3:Putting It Together Step 4:Additional Outputs
Programs:- Step 3:Putting It Together:- Step 4:Additional Outputs :-
Programs:- (b) Line Follower:- Concept of working of line follower is related to light . When light fall on a white surface it is almost full reflected and in case of black surface light is completely absorbed. This behavior of light is used in building a line follower robot . In this arduino based line follower robot we have used IR Transmitters and IR receivers also called photo diodes .
Programs:- Circuit Explanation :- This section contains IR diodes, potentiometer, Comparator (Op-Amp) and LED’s. Potentiometer is used for setting reference voltage at comparator’s one terminal and IR sensors are used to sense the line and provide a change in voltage at comparator’s second terminal .
Programs:- (b) Line Follower:- Line follower robot senses black line by using sensor and then sends the signal to arduino . Then arduino drives the motor according to sensors' output.

Conclusion:- It was a great experience to see how these robots can be made with the help of small devices like arduino , led , sensors , etc. Using robots cuts down on a lot of human effort, yet its scope is limited and needs some supervision by human intelligence. Industries have reaped a lot of benefits from the applications of robots in the past few decades. Robotics mixed with artificial intelligence has made it easy for humans to perform complicated or tedious tasks and this technology is only expected to grow in the future .
