The Application Environment Every meeting room has a projector or LCD screen that is used for computer-based presentations and media playback: PowerPoint presentations Internet search and display Video streaming Some have a codec for video conferencing. Most use a laptop to run Skype.
The Challenges Users fumble with video interface cables; VGA, HDMI, Mini Display Port, etc. Switching between users takes time and effort. Internet and streaming tie up a laptop. Skype is less than optimum as users crowd around the laptop. Audio is always a problem.
The Solution – “Presentation Pal” Connects to the projector via HDMI. Connects to the network via Wi-Fi. Becomes the central hub for computer connections, Internet access, Skype videoconferencing and many other applications.
How it Works Android boots to custom shell/launcher. Home screen offers simple selections: Connect computers – Miracast/Airplay/DLNA Internet access – Chrome/Opera Youtube / Youku streaming – Native Apps Google Apps/Office Mobile / Lync / GoToMeeting / Blue Jeans / Polycom “Android Mode” – Google Now Launcher or custom launcher
