Lauren George April 27, 2011 4 th hour Career/Technology Foundations Anesthesiologist
Imagine going into surgery and you are wide awake. Everything that the surgeon does you feel. Now imagine going into the operating room, being given anesthetic, and being unconscious and not able to feel any pain. That is what I would like to do. I want to make sure that the patients don’t feel any pain while they are going into surgery. I want to be an anesthesiologist. An anesthesiologist gives the patient going into surgery anesthetics so they aren’t awake during surgery. I want to ease the patients’ pain and calm them down so they are no longer nervous. An anesthesiologist prescribes medicines to patients, and administers treatment to patients that are suffering and are struggling with diseases. I will be researching the working conditions, qualifications, and earnings of this career field. Hopefully, in researching more, I will be able to further ignite my passion for becoming an anesthesiologist. Introduction
