defination A series of physical exercises that are performed by antenatal mother to bring about optimal functioning of all systems and prevent complications.

Guidelines for exercise Adequate fluid intake . Warm up slowly. Avoid over stretching. Avoid jerking or bouncing. Exercise regularly(at least 3 times a week). After first trimester avoid exercises that requires supine position.

Warning signs to stop exercise Vaginal bleeding. Fluid discharge dizziness or felling faint. Headache Muscle weakness. Decreased fetal movement. Uterine contractions.
