Treatment
Urgent surgery should
be performed.
•Open appendectomy
•Laparoscopic
appendectomy
Prepare patient for surgery
•Antibiotics ( cephalosporins ) before
operating.
•General or spinal anesthesia.
•Clean area for operating.
•Operate ( open or laparoscopically )
•Incase if rupture –wash abdomen fully and
insert drainage tube.
