Meaning & Definition Literal Meanings: belief, Aqeedah, Derived from aqd, Which means to bind something as in saying "اعتقدت کذا" (I have such a belief) i.e. I have tied or knotted it (this belief) with my heart and conscience. Faith, A tied or knotted object, Beliefs Definition: Those firm and unwavering ideas of man that attain the status of faith

3. Conti… Famous saying ما عقد علیہ القلب والضمیر "Those (firm ideas) on which one's heart and conscience are satisfied“ Islamic Terminology: Those irrevocable ideas of Islam, without accepting the authenticity of which no person can enter the circle of Islam.

4. The Importance of Beliefs 1. The root of religion Majidad al-Alf Thani Sheikh Ahmad Sir Hindi (R.A) says: There are two parts of Shariat . (1) Belief (2) Practice. Belief is the root of religion and action is its branch The correctness of belief is essential For all religious actions and spiritual conditions. How can the branches of a tree whose root is dry remain green and how can it bear fruit?

5. Conti… 2.The foundation of righteous deeds Beliefs are the reason for motivating a person to do good deeds and hate bad deeds. Weak faith pushes a person into the pit of sins 3. Foundation of Acceptance of deeds A person's actions cannot be accepted unless his belief is strong. وَالَّـذِيْنَ كَفَرُوٓا اَعْمَالُـهُـمْ كَسَرَابٍ "And those who disbelieve, their deeds are like illusions" (An-Nur: 39).

Uzair (A.S) was deeply saddened by the vanishing of knowledge and the killing of scholars and the destruction of Bani Israel.

He understood that this was a warning to him from Bari Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala , then he was told to go to such and such a canal and bathe there, offer two rak'ahs of prayer there, and he will find a person there who will feed him whatever he wants. so, he went there to bathe and pray.

At the same time, Allah Ta'ala enlightened his heart, and he became the greatest scholar of the Torah." He went to the children of Israel and said to them, "I have brought you the Torah." They said, “you are true to us. "He wrapped the pen with his finger and with that finger he wrote the entire Torah at once. Meanwhile, the people and their scholars returned from the battle, and they came to know about Uzair (A.S),so they went and brought out the manuscripts of the Torah that were hidden in the mountains and caves and compare it with these manuscripts. it was found to be absolutely correct. On this, the devil whispered in the hearts of some ignorant people that he is the son of Allah.

17. Kinds of Tauheed Monotheism in Self: Allah is the only One in His Self and Reality. Free from the concept of father and son. قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ( 1 ) اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ ( 2 ) لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ( 3 ) وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ ( 4 ) “ Say, O Muhammad! He is Allah the one, Allah is eternal and absolute. No one is born of him, nor is He born. There is none co-equal and comparable to Him”

18. Conti… Tauheed in Attributes No one can have the same attributes as Allah. Hearing, sight, power, will, and knowledge, etc. are personal attributes. لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ “ None is co-equal to Him” Uniqueness in requirements of attribute When Allah's attributes are acknowledged, then its requirements should also be fulfilled.
