ABOUT US Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and the smallest one in the Solar System—it’s only a bit larger than our Moon. The planet’s name has nothing to do with the liquid metal, since it was named after the Roman messenger god, Mercury

Evolución de las Políticas Habitacionales en Chile Década de 1950: Inicios de la Política Habitacional Pública 1952: Creación de leyes de desarrollo urbano y agencia técnica para supervisar la construcción. 1953: Fundación de la Corporación de la Vivienda, fusionando la Caja de Habitación y la Corporación de Reconstrucción y Auxilio. 1954: Promulgación del DFL 431 y creación de la Junta Ejecutiva del Plan de Vivienda para abordar el déficit habitacional de los sectores más populares. 2.Década de 1960 1960: El DS Nº 1.100 reorganiza la Corporación de Vivienda como una empresa estatal autónoma, impulsando una política habitacional amplia para satisfacer las necesidades de todos los estratos económicos. 1965: Se establece el Ministerio de Vivienda y Urbanismo, junto con la Corporación de Servicios Habitacionales, la Corporación de Mejoramiento Urbano y la Corporación de Obras Urbanas . 3.Década de 1970 Entre 1958 y 1970, el total de viviendas construidas aumenta a un promedio de 8 mil por año, aunque sigue siendo insuficiente para satisfacer las necesidades.

Evolución de las Políticas Habitacionales en Chile 4.Década de 1990 Hacia los años noventa, se logra un rol facilitador del Estado en las políticas habitacionales, con propuestas de gestión del sector de la vivienda que incluyen más viviendas para los más pobres, mejores barrios y ciudades, y diseño participativo de programas habitacionales 5.Período 1990-2019: Reducción del Déficit Habitacional 1990-2019: Durante este período, Chile logró reducir el déficit habitacional de 1.200.000 viviendas faltantes a 450.000 en 2019, marcando un progreso significativo en la cobertura de necesidades habitacionales. 2010: El terremoto de 2010 destruyó aproximadamente 300.000 viviendas, presentando un desafío significativo para el sector habitacional y afectando el panorama de la vivienda en el país.
