Velocidades de transmisión de conector SATA Esta interfaz cuenta con distintas evoluciones en cuanto a la velocidad de trasmisión de datos SATA 1.0 Esta fue la primera versión que trabajaba a 1,5Gb/s de aquí la denominación de SATA 1,5 Gb/s. Con esta conexión podíamos alcanzar una  velocidad real de 150 MB/s SATA 2.0 En esta segunda versión velocidad se duplicó, alcanzando los 3Gb/s y una  velocidad de 300MB/s . También se conoce como SATA 3Gb/s SATA 3.0 Este es el estándar actualmente que implementan todos los discos duros con esta interfaz. En este caso velocidad de transmisión es de 6Gb/s que resultan de una  velocidad máxima de 600 MB/s . se conoce como SATA 6Gb/s
