CHARACTERISTICS OF CONTEMPORARY ART Appropriation It refers to the practice of using the existing artwork that is appropriated to produce another artwork. Hybridity In an information society, the movement of ideas and people is faster and wilder. The cultural dynamics of today’s society have presented new challenges to the existing standards in the art world. Culture is no longer understood as the distinct and unique expression of activities and ideas that occur in a particular places. “HUPA” Brandon Braza 12x6 inches oil on found wood and objects, 2020

Hybridity The process of hybridization demands new theories of flow and resistance and is compelling artists and intellectuals to rethink their methods. Hybrid art uses unconventional materials and mixes unlikely materials to produce artwork. “HUPA” Brandon Braza 12x6 inches oil on found wood and objects, 2020

Space Jeff Koons “Balloon Dog" Art forms that are performed and positioned in specific spots such as public places. Using Space in Art, The American architect Frank Lloyd Wright once said that "Space is the breath of art." What Wright meant was that unlike many of the other elements of art, space is found in nearly every piece of art created. Painters imply space, photographers capture space, sculptors rely on space and form, and architects build space. It is a fundamental element in  each of the visual arts .

Technology The rapid development of advanced digital technology changed the world of art forever, pushing the boundaries of people’s perception and understanding of art.
