The ASEAN Model of Comparative Policing refers to the study and analysis of policing systems across the member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). This model focuses on the similarities, differences, and best practices in law enforcement within ASEAN countries while considering their unique socio-political, cultural, and legal contexts.
The ASEAN model of comparative policing is diverse and multifaceted, shaped by historical, political, and legal factors. While ASEAN nations share common security concerns, their policing systems differ significantly. However, regional cooperation through ASEANAPOL and cross-border agreements helps improve law enforcement effectiveness across the region.
