25. Suggestions for improvement in Authentication Success Rate Operators should be pursued and advised for performing and adopting Best Finger Detection(BFD) process which will effectively bring down the rejection percentage . Trace out the unique resident whose FP biometric authentication are regularly failing with Error Code 300. Henceforth inform & update the FP biometric of these residents. Replace the biometric device with success rate less than 30% & over 5 Year old from authentication eco-system. AUAs shall do authentication analysis at Resident level & Device level and share the monthly report for our further analysis & action. AUAs needs to share following details:- AUAs to share Unique UID wise success rate during May .2024 AUAs should report authentication status & issues faced on daily basis on given link for its resolution . State Government AUAs may share the Resident details whose Authentication failing with Error code 300, 811, 996 & 997. AUAs/Sub-AUAs to trace out these residents & provide convenient date to update the biometric of these residents through camp mode. (Banks may skip) SUB AUAs IS audit is the responsibility of AUA. AUAs have to submit undertaking that all the Sub-AUAs mapped under them has completed the I.S Audit . Sharing details of devices with with less than 30% success rate (Considering minimum 500 txn .)

26. Phasing out old finger print biometric devices (L0) to (L1) RD Devices. AUAs should phase out all L0 devices being used for Aadhaar Authentication. UIDAI HQ Authentication Division vide letter dt 31-05-2022 intimated to all requesting entities on discontinuation of L0 devices. A&V Dvn issue directions defining sunset of L0 devices . Also any on going procurement of L0 RD devices is required to be revised and to procure L1 RD devices only . AUAs are requested to submit the Self Declaration along with the number of active L0 & L1 RD devices available.
