Slide Content

Axial piston pump Presented By: C.Prathush .

Types of Pumps Working methodology About Axial Piston Pump Components of Pump Construction of Piston Pump Working of Axial Piston Pump Comparison of Hydraulic Pumps WILL BE DISCUSSING ON:

Types of Pumps: Gear Pumps External Gear Pump Internal Gear Pumps Lobe Pump Ge -rotor Pump Screw Pump Vane Pumps Unbalanced Vane Pump Balance Vane Pump PISTON PUMPS Axial Piston Pump Straight Axis Piston Pump Bent Axis Piston Pump Radial Piston Pump Stationary Cylinder Type Rotating Cylinder Type

Gear Pump Best in pumping the high Viscous liquids like asphalt, chocolate and adhesives. Best in pumping the less viscous liquids at High Pressure. External Gear Pump

VANE Pump Unbalanced Van Pump Balanced Van Pump Its used in Auto mobiles in power steering, air conditioners. Best in handling gases, ammonia, solvents. Its used in bulk transfer of LPG, NH3, alcohols, fuel transferring and propellants.

Axial Piston Pump

How it works? Interesting Mechanism : Rotating motion getting converted into reciprocating motion.

Basically an Axial piston pump consist of Housing in which the pumping mechanism (Reciprocating Motion) takes place from a motion converting mechanism. Housing consist of bores in which pistons are accommodated. These pistons are connected to the S wash Plate. The Swash plate is free to make angles from Perpendicular to any angle between 40 Degree to the Pump Axis. Pump Axis

In this pump the flow is not controlled with the RPM . Where RPM remains constant. The flow is controlled with the help of swash plate. By changing the angle of the Swash plate, we can change the stroke length and hence the discharge. By increasing the angle of the Swash plate from perpendicular, we can increase the discharge of fluid.
