Many Persons with disabilities experience financial burden on their everyday lives. Financial burden includes but is not limited to medical expenses; costly transportation expenses; higher cost of living compared to persons without disabilities. With all the financial constraints, buying food is already a burden to them.

OBJECTIVE/S:
Provide sacks of rice to Bambang PWD Association, Inc. reduce their daily expenses for the time period.

EXECUTIVE SUMMAR Y
On January 25, 2025, the Bambang PWD Association, Inc. successfully conducted a rice distribution activity
for its members. The event, held at G. Valderrama Street, Barangay Bambang, Pasig City, provided 5
kilograms of rice to each registered member. This initiative was funded by a grant from the City Government
of Pasig through the Pasig City Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), aiming to alleviate the daily
financial burden of its members and support their nutritional needs.

BACKGROUND
Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) often face significant financial constraints, including medical bills,
transportation costs, and a higher overall cost of living. This activity was aligned with the Sustainable
Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) and aimed to reduce the burden of essential food expenses for our
members by providing a staple commodity.

OBJECTIVES
• To distribute 5 kilograms of rice to each qualified member of the Bambang PWD Association, Inc.
• To alleviate a portion of our members' daily living expenses for the month.
• To foster support and solidarity within the PWD community of Barangay Bambang.

IMPLEMENTATION AND METHODOLOGY


INFORMATION DISSEMINATION
The activity was promoted through the Association's official Facebook Page and Group, group chats, and
direct communication via officers and area coordinators.


QUALIFICATION & REGISTRATION
Beneficiaries were required to be registered members of the Association and present a valid, non-expired
PWD ID to claim their allocation.

• Beneficiaries: Registered members of the Bambang PWD Association, Inc.
• Performance Indicator: The successful distribution of rice to all registered members who attended
and presented valid credentials.
