Abstract
BASALT FIBER is a product of the 21st century and it can be
said that it is one of the most worthy, beautiful and
profitable products that mankind has been able to invent.
These fibers are also called mineral fibers and stone fibers
and are obtained in a complex single-step process by
melting basalt rock.
Basalt fiber is a new composite fiber that completely
replaces glass fiber and carbon fiber in terms of properties
and application. The difference is that the production
process and price are very favorable. The production of
basalt fibers depends on two very important factors:

1. QUALITY STONE
2. ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE

Basalt stone

Basalt stone is a common
extrusive igneous
(volcanic) rock formed from
the rapid cooling of basalt
lava

There are over 300 kinds of basalt
stones, and only one type can be
transmuted into superfine fibers
without additives. This stone is from
the MAKU deposit.

Basalt Mine MAKU

= Located in the northwest Board of Iran and Turkey;
= The largest basalt colony in the world;

"= High quality with current basalt ore;

= All laboratory tests have been carried out;

= High quality is confirmed by the Ukrainian research
institute laboratory;

= Private property;

= Easy accessibility;
= Easy extraction;

= Low cost.

Maku mine physical and chemical properties

Maku basalt is in very good strategic position. Its located in the Maku Free
Economic Zone and has Easy access to main facilities such as: asphalt road,
electricity and river crossing in the middle of the mine

Basalt fiber production process

Basalt fiber is a product obtained by one-stage
drawing from a melt of basalt rocks without the
use of any chemicals.

arock

Roving is a bundle of
‘complex basalt threads,
consisting of elementary
fibers.

Itis used for the production
of composites, meshes, etc.

And
(es

Twisted thread - obtained by
twisting elementary basalt
threads. Used for the
production of fabrics and
composites.

For the production of fibers, one-component,

nature-prepared, environmentally friendly raw
materials are used

- basalt. Stocks of raw materials are unlimited
and in the cost of production are less than 5%

Fire

Fiber - chopped
continuous basalt fiber.
Application: imparting new
properties to concretes,
asphalt and plastics.

Basalt fiber is not the best for each individual property compared to
competing fibers, but it has the BEST SET of characteristics and the best

MONOLITHIC CONCRETE

Monolithic structures in
aggressive and water
environments: ports,
hydroelectric power plants,
chemical plants, military
facilities, Arctic construction,
etc.

Increase the durability of concrete by 5 times, frost resistance up to 500 cycles,
compressive strength by 20%, crack resistance by 2 times, tensile strength in
bending by 30%, shock resistance by 5 times, water resistance by 50%

16

The use of composite roadbed reinforcement increases the load-carrying capacity of the
supporting structures up to 4 times and increases the turnaround time by 8-10 times.

environmental friendliness

Installations for the production of CBF are environmentally
friendly and compact: only the products of complete
combustion of natural gas that have undergone preliminary
cooling in recuperators and

cleaning in filters.

Basalt crushed stone belongs to the first category of radioactivity and

has an indicator of less than 370 Bd / kg and is allowed to be used in
absolutely any type of construction.

Economic,

The economic aspects of the basalt fiber production project are
completely dependent on these two factors, considering the single raw
materials and the single-stage production process.

Due to the ownership of the stone mine and the science and knowledge
of fiber production, it is not complicated in any way and has a high
profit margin and competitive power because the competing
companies are mainly basalt stone importers.

After raw materials and knowledge, the most important parameters of
production costs are fuel and labor costs, which depend on the location
of the project.

Rapidly Changing To Global Industries
