History Its first mass product, the “Batovky” The company was founded under the name  A. Baťa  in 1894 in  Zlín   Czech Republic by  Tomáš Baťa . In 1914, with the outbreak of  World War I , the company had a significant development due to military orders. 1931 Bata India Limited the Company was incorporated at Calcutta.
