vishnumaya temple is located at western side of the Thrissur district known as
peringottukara. Peringottukara , a small holy land with lot of temples. Vishnumaya is

Adiparashakthi. The Goddess advised him the moola manthrato pray and appease
Lord VishnumayaKuttichathan. The sage then went to the Himalayas and performed
severe penance, which pleased the KuttichathanSwamy and he accompanied the sage
to Peringottukara. SreeVishnumayaKuttichathanwas invoked and installed at Kanadi.
