Summary: In this final chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, titled “The way to liberation through renunciation” is the concluding chapter of the Gita. In this chapter, Lord Krishna imparts the final teachings to Arjuna . It primarily focuses on the concepts of knowledge, action and devotion. The key points include: The chapter begins with Arjuna’s request for a concise summary of all the previous teachings. Lord Krishna emphasizes that one can attain liberation (Moksha) through knowledge, selfless action and unwavering devotion. He explains the three gunas (qualities)- Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas - and their influence on human behavior and character.

Krishna elaborates on the four types of varnas (social divisions) and the importance of performing one’s duties according to their varna. He discusses the various types of sacrifices and the significance of offering one’s actions to the Divine.
