6. Continued… Jobs demanded no control over what was written nor even the right to read it before it was published. He put nothing off-limits. He persuaded the people he knew to speak honestly. And he himself spoke candidly, sometimes brutally so, about the people he worked with and competed against . He knew that the best way to create value in 21 st century was to connect the creativity with the technology. He built and owned companies where imagination was combined with remarkable feats of engineering. All those associated with Jobs provided an unpainted view of passion, perfection, obsession and authority to control, to shape the Apple Inc., Pixar, NeXT and innovative products that resulted. His personality and products were closely interlinked same was true for Apple’s hardware and software as well. His tale is an instructive, cautionary and filled with lessons about innovation, character, leadership and value.

7. The Two Steves and Innovations Steve Jobs met Steve Wozniak, who happens to be the elder brother of swim team member and was five year older than him. Like Jobs, Wozniak also learned a lot at his father’s knee. They shared common interest for computers apart from having similar passion for music. Their chemistry led to the first invention of making a “Digital Blue Box” which was utilized for making long distance calls for free over an AT&T network. This was one of the point in his career which showed his love and passion towards a product, futuristic thought process, marketing skill and leadership quality which went through refinement during his long career. He founded and cofounded various companies which delivered products that represented his persona. Though his fluctuating behavior let him down on certain occasions but his leadership surely made a “ Dent in the Universe ”.

8. My Review and Learning The interviews with Steve Jobs are fascinating and revealing. We get a real sense for what it must have been like to be Steve, or to work with him. It presents the larger than life portrait of Steve Jobs, which feel like very much true. He sailed the ships of NeXT and Pixar, which were about to sink at one point of time and then on the very next moment he was again sailing these ships perfectly in the rough waters. It is definitely a must-read if you have any interest at all in the subject . As far as the learning are concerned, it well educates the followings mentioned bullet points Never give up Be creative in work you do Love the work you do Present your passion with the product Associate yourself with the product Last but not the least STAY HUNGRY, STAY FOOLISH
