Tug of War Draw six circles in a horizontal line on the board. Draw a vertical line down the middle, putting three circles on each side of the line. What is the main idea? Every Thanksgiving, my family plays American football together in our backyard. We have two teams. Usually there are about 12 people playing, adults and children. It’s a lot of fun, though it’s better when the weather is nice. Last year, we played in a foot of snow. After the game, everybody comes inside for a large Thanksgiving meal. Answer: a family’s tradition of playing football at Thanksgiving

What is the main idea? I don’t think students should wear uniforms at school. It’s important for students to feel comfortable so they can concentrate on their studies and their teachers. Uniforms might be uncomfortable. Also, wearing their own clothes gives students a chance to express themselves as an individual. Answer: Students shouldn’t have to wear uniforms to school
