I ntroduction Brain computer interface is a direct connection between computer an human brain. The brain computer can lead to many applications especially for disabled person. Brain computer interface applications utilize the brain and its newrons system functions.

A brain computer interface is a technology which allows a human to control a computer peripheral, or other electronic devices with thought. It does so by using electrodes to detect electric signals in the brain which are send to a computer. The computer then translates these electric signals into data which is used to control a computer or a device linked to a computer.

Invasive BCI Acquisition techniques Invasive brain computer interface devices have to be used to capture brain signales . Invasive brain computer interface devices are inserted directly into the human brain by a critical surgery. These devices have the highest quality of human brain signals.

Partially invasive BCI Acquisition techniques Partially invasive brain computer interface devices are implanted inside the shull but rest outside the brain. Signal strength using this type of brain computer interface is bit weaker. Partially invasive brain computer interfaces have less risk of scar tissue formation.

Non invasive BCI acquisition techniques Non intasive brain computer interface has thes least signal clarity when it comes to communicating with the brain. It has less risk then the above tow method

Applications of BCI Provide disabled people with communication ,environment control,and movement restoration. Provide enhanced control of devices such as wheelchairs , vehicles,or assistance robots for people with disabilities. Provide addititional channel of control in computer games.

Advantages of BCI Allow paralyzed people to control prosthetic limbs with their mind. Transmit visual images to mind of blind person. Tranmit auditory data to mind of deaf person. Allow gamers to control video games with their mind.

Disadvantages of BCI The brain is incredibly complex. Signal is weak and prone to interence . The equipment is less then portable.

Conclusion Bci is an advancing technology promising paradigm shift in areas like machine control , reality and etc. So ,it’s potentially high impact technology.
