2. Branches of Psychology Based on the nature of studies going on in the field of psychology, it can be divided into two broad categories. Pure Psychology Applied psychology

3. Pure Psychology Pure psychology formulates broad principles, brings out theories and suggest methods and techniques for the study of human behaviour . It includes: General Psychology : It deals with the study of the behaviour of a normal adult human being.
