ECOLOGICAL SYSTEM THEORY Prepared by: RYAN MORADO LAGABS
ECOLOGICAL SYSTEM THEORY IT WAS DEVELOPED BY URIE BRONFENBRENNER, ONE OF THE MOST WELL-KNOWN PSYCHOLOGISTS Ecological systems theory explains how human development is influenced by different types of environmental systems Prepared by: RYAN MORADO LAGABS
URIE BRONFENBRENNER divide the person's environment into five different levels MICROSYSTEM MESOSYSTEM EXOSYSTEM MACREOSYSTEM CHRONOSYSTEM Prepared by: RYAN MORADO LAGABS

MICROSYSTEM The microsystem is made up of the groups that most immediately and directly impact the child's development. PARENTS FRIENDS, SCHOOL NEIGHBOR TEACHER CLASSMATE Prepared by: RYAN MORADO LAGABS
GUARDIAN COUSINS FRIEND NEIGHBOR TEACHER CLASSMATES FAMILY CHURCH Prepared by: RYAN MORADO LAGABS
MESOSYSTEM The mesosystem consists of the interactions between the different parts of a person's microsystem. The mesosystem is where a person's individual microsystems do not function independently, but are interconnected and assert influence upon one another. These interactions have an indirect impact on the individual. Prepared by: RYAN MORADO LAGABS
M I C E T R O S Y S M PARENT AND SCHOOL PARENT AND FRIENDS PARENT AND TEACHER GUARDIAN AND NEIGHBOR Prepared by: RYAN MORADO LAGABS
EXOSYSTEM Pertains to the linkages that may exist between two or more settings, one of which may not contain the developing child but affects him indirectly. Include the parent’s workplaces, the larger neighborhood, and extended family members. Prepared by: RYAN MORADO LAGABS
-PARENT’S WORKPLACE -FAMILY’S FRIENDS Prepared by: RYAN MORADO LAGABS

Macrosystem Is the largest and most distant collection of people and places to the child that still exercises significant influence on the child. Composed of the child’s cultural patterns, and values, specifically the child’s dominant beliefs and ideas, as well as political and economic system. Prepared by: RYAN MORADO LAGABS
Chronosystem Adds the useful dimension of time, which demonstrates the influence of both change and constancy in the child’s environment. Include a change in family structures, address, parent’s employment status. Prepared by: RYAN MORADO LAGABS
