Showcase of sustainable and cost-effective housing solutions. Integration of emerging technologies for improved efficiency and quality. II. PRADHAN MANTRI AWAS YOJANA – HOUSING FOR ALL (URBAN) MISSION BMTPC’s Role in Implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Housing for All (Urban) Mission Contribution to achieving the government's objective of providing housing for all. Collaboration with stakeholders for effective implementation. Ensuring quality construction and affordability in urban housing projects.
AREAS OF WORK :
Building Materials & Construction Technologies- From lab to land, the BMTPC adopts an integrated approach, when it comes to promotion of cost-effective, environment-friendly and energy-efficient innovative building materials and construction technologies. This is much required, especially for housing in the urban and rural areas of India and more so for affordable housing backed by sustainable development. The major focus areas are the following: Environment-friendly materials and techniques Building materials from recycled waste. Identification, assessment and promotion of building materials and technologies. Commercialisation of technologies.
Disaster mitigation and management- The BMTPC proactively works towards preparing Indian cities for disasters. Also, it proactively works towards preparing Indian cities for disasters. Besides, the major focus of the BMTPC with respect to disaster mitigation and management is as follows: Hazard maps of India. Initiatives for disaster preparedness, mitigation and management.
