Coat of arms and flag Coat of arms – The Bulgarian coat of arms consists of a crowned golden lion rampant over a dark red shield; above the shield is the Bulgarian historical crown. The shield is supported by two crowned golden lions rampant; below the shield there is compartment in the shape of oak twigs and white bands with the national motto "Unity makes strength" inscribed on them.

Coat of arms and flag Flag – The Bulgarian flag consists of three horizontally placed colored lines. White, green and red. The white symbolizes our freedom, green is for our beautiful and unique nature and red is for the blood of the heroes who bravely fought for our country.

Cities and monuments Gorna Oryahovitsa Our hometown is located in Northern Bulgaria. Here there is a train station which is the second biggest in our country. The hill Kamaka (or The Rock) is interesting for tourists. According to the old citizens, the height of the stone was formed through centuries. Many years ago it was a big harbour but now it’s the top of our town.

Cities and monuments veliko tarnovo Close to our town (7km) is the historical capital of Bulgaria - Veliko Tarnovo . The city is one of the most preferred tourist destinations because of its attractions. Its location is different because it’s located on three hills – Tsarevets , Trapezitsa and Sveta gora (Great forest). Cities and monuments sofia The capital of our country is Sofia. The city is administrative, industrial, cultural and university centre of Bulgaria. The earliest data about the settlement of the ancient city centre date from the Bronze Ages ( second millenium before Christ). Information about the region of today’s Sofia appears in ancient Greek sources after the middle of the 5 th century before Christ, at that time this part of the Balkan Peninsula is populated with Thracians.

Cities and monuments Plovdiv Plovdiv is the second biggest city in Bulgaria. It’s chosen for European capital of culture for 2019. The most popular symbols of the city are Plovdiv hills – Djendem hill also known as the haunted hill, Sahat hill, Bunarjika , Markovo hill and Triangle hill which consists Nebet hill, Taksim hill and Djambaz hill. Another very popular attraction in the city is the Plovdiv Fair which is the biggest fair in our country. Other popular attractions there are : The Roman antique forum The Singing Fountains

Cities and monuments varna Varna as our sea capital is the third biggest city in Bulgaria. The city keeps a gold treasure from the Chalcolithic Age. It is known as the oldest gold treasure in Europe. In Varna is located the only attraction of its kind in Bulgaria – The Dolphinarium . Other popular attraction in the district are the Fossil stones ( Pobitite stones). The natural phenomenon without an analogue in the world is one of the three geological places in Bulgaria with acknowledged world significance.
